FYLaw, in collaboration with the National Coalition for a Civil Right to Counsel, recently drafted and filed an amicus curiae brief in support of the proposition that indigent birth parents should be appointed counsel in adoption proceedings.

This brief was filed in support of the appeal taken by the Southeastern Ohio Legal Services in the case of In the Adoption of J.R.F.  Jeremy Chad Jones v. Robert Jason Farmer, Case No. 16 CA 0701, Fourth District Court of Appeals (Vinton County).
